For today’s CIOs and CDOs, digital transformation is a mandate, not a choice. Enterprises are under pressure to migrate to cloud ERP systems, harness AI, automate processes, and deliver seamless user experiences. Yet many find themselves trapped in a digital quicksand—progress stalling under the weight of outdated, fragmented, and redundant data. Welcome to the age of data debt.

Much like financial debt, data debt accrues interest over time. It refers to the accumulation of legacy data, siloed applications, redundant systems, and unstructured information that burdens IT infrastructures. Research suggests that poor data quality costs organizations an average of $12.9 million per year, while technical debt—including data-related inefficiencies—can consume up to 40% of IT budgets.

Legacy data environments slow ERP modernization efforts, inflate migration costs, and increase compliance risks—especially in regulated industries. Worse, they compromise data-driven decision-making by polluting analytics with outdated or irrelevant information. In a world where agility and intelligence define market leaders, data debt is a silent killer of transformation momentum.

Every major ERP or cloud migration faces a pivotal question: What do we do with the legacy data? Too often, the answer is to carry it forward en masse—replicating bloated, noncompliant, and fragmented records into the new system. This not only inflates migration costs but also perpetuates inefficiencies and slows innovation.

Consider the complexity of managing compliance with data residency laws like GDPR or the growing need to surface quality, real-time data for AI models. Legacy systems can’t keep up. Organizations that fail to manage information debt before embarking on transformation projects risk turning their next-generation platforms into expensive replicas of the past.

That’s where intelligent information platforms like JiVS IMP from Data Migration International come in. JiVS IMP enables organizations to decouple historical data and legacy applications from core systems, manage them cost-effectively in a compliant, read-only format, and drastically reduce the volume of data that needs to be migrated.

One example is DuPont, which successfully retired 17 SAP legacy systems and over 50TB of historical data across its global landscape using JiVS IMP. The project was completed in just 12 months, unlocking massive IT cost savings, audit-proof compliance, and sustainability benefits—all while preparing the business for a clean and agile digital future.

The first step towards breaking free from the data debt cycle is assessment. CIOs should conduct a data inventory across all business units to understand what data exists, where it lives, and what regulatory obligations apply. This helps identify what data must be migrated, what can be archived, and what should be retired.

Next, organizations must establish governance frameworks to ensure data is continuously classified, maintained, and monitored. JiVS IMP facilitates this with automated metadata management, lifecycle governance, and role-based access control.

Finally, leaders should align data strategy with business outcomes. Whether pursuing an ERP migration, a cloud-first strategy, or M&A integration, data should be seen not as an afterthought, but as a foundational enabler.

What this means for ERP Insiders

Rethink your migration roadmap. Many ERP transformation initiatives fail to meet ROI targets because they carry unnecessary data baggage. With JiVS IMP, CIOs can separate operational from historical data, reducing the scope and complexity of migrations. Tech leaders should prioritize intelligent data archiving as a first phase of any modernization effort.

Make M&A integration a competitive advantage. Mergers and acquisitions often result in duplicated systems, fragmented data, and compliance blind spots. JiVS IMP provides a central platform to consolidate and govern data across multiple sources without disrupting core operations. Companies that use this approach report faster integration timelines and lower IT overhead, turning M&A complexity into strategic agility.

Build a data architecture for the AI era. AI and advanced analytics demand clean, current, and context-rich data. Legacy information systems, left unchecked, undermine these ambitions. With JiVS IMP’s intelligent metadata tagging and automated data lifecycle management, companies can ensure their data is not only compliant but AI-ready. This positions CIOs to support real-time insights and predictive decision-making without technical friction.

Time’s Running Out on SAP ECC: Act Now to Avoid Soaring Risks and Costs https://erp.today/times-running-out-on-sap-ecc-act-now-to-avoid-soaring-risks-and-costs/ Wed, 14 May 2025 14:09:43 +0000 https://erp.today/?p=130286 Thomas Failer, CEO of Data Migration International highlights why the move to SAP S/4HANA is a must today.

The post Time’s Running Out on SAP ECC: Act Now to Avoid Soaring Risks and Costs appeared first on ERP Today.

]]>
The countdown is on. With SAP’s mainstream support for ECC (ERP Central Component) ending in 2030, businesses delaying the transition to SAP S/4HANA are not merely postponing an upgrade; it’s an invitation to escalating risks, missed opportunities, and potential stagnation in an increasingly competitive digital landscape.

In an interview with ERP Today, Thomas Failer, CEO of Data Migration International, argues that the time to migrate to SAP S/4HANA is not approaching—it is here.

The Tangled Web of Legacy Data

According to Failer, the pervasive problem of legacy data lies at the heart of the urgency. He explains: “Decades of operational history often reside within SAP ECC systems, much of it outdated, redundant, and unstructured. This digital baggage acts as a significant anchor, inflating costs, creating compliance nightmares, and severely hindering digital transformation initiatives.”

Moreover, maintaining these sprawling legacy environments consumes a lion’s share of IT budgets – often as high as 60-80% – leaving scant resources for strategic innovation. The sheer volume of this data slows down system performance, complicates upgrades, and makes extracting meaningful insights a herculean task.

Failer added, “Legacy data is often riddled with inconsistencies, duplicates, and quality issues. This “dirty data” undermines the accuracy of analytics, cripples the potential of AI and automation, and leads to flawed decision-making.”

Due to these factors, compliance becomes a precarious tightrope walk as outdated systems struggle to meet evolving regulatory demands like the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), exposing businesses to hefty fines and reputational damage. The lack of proper data governance and retention management within legacy ECC systems makes audits and legal discovery processes costly and time-consuming.

Clean Core and the Imperative of Clean Data

Failer points to a compelling alternative to solve this problem: SAP’s strategic direction, embodied in the “Clean Core” and “Composable Enterprise” vision. “This future-ready architecture emphasizes a modular, flexible, and agile approach to enterprise resource planning,” he notes. “The Clean Core advocates for a standardized, lean digital foundation in SAP S/4HANA, minimizing customizations and ensuring seamless upgrades, while the Composable Enterprise envisions a landscape of interoperable business capabilities that can be assembled and reassembled as needed.”

“Dirty data” undermines the accuracy of analytics.

However, the realization of this transformative vision is intrinsically linked to the quality of the underlying data. “You simply cannot build a Clean Core on a foundation of dirty, outdated data,” Failer says. “Migrating massive volumes of legacy baggage into SAP S/4HANA defeats the purpose, bloating the system and perpetuating existing inefficiencies.”

Similarly, a Composable Enterprise relies on consistent, high-quality data flowing seamlessly between its modular components. Thus, fragmented or unreliable data undermines the agility and flexibility this architecture promises.

The JiVS Solution

Data Migration International (DMI) offers a powerful solution to navigate this complex transition: the JiVS Information Management Platform (IMP). Failer states, “JiVS provides a strategic and intelligent approach to managing legacy data, enabling businesses to break free from the constraints of their SAP ECC systems and embrace SAP S/4HANA with confidence.”

The core principle of JiVS is the separation of historical data from active applications. Instead of a “lift and shift” approach that blindly migrates everything, JiVS extracts all legacy data (SAP and non-SAP) at the application layer, preserving its full business context. This data is then securely archived in a legally compliant and audit-proof manner. This means businesses retain 100% access to their historical data for audits, compliance, and operational needs, even after the legacy ECC system is decommissioned.

“With the historical data safely managed, JiVS enables businesses to selectively migrate only the necessary, high-quality data to SAP S/4HANA,” Failer says. “This targeted approach drastically reduces data volume – often by up to 90% – streamlining the migration process, accelerating timelines, and significantly lowering costs.”

DMI estimates that JiVS can reduce overall IT operating costs by up to 80% by enabling the retirement of expensive legacy systems and optimizing data storage. Furthermore, JiVS incorporates automated data quality analysis and cleansing, ensuring that only clean, relevant, and enriched data makes its way into the new SAP S/4HANA environment. “This supports SAP’s Clean Core principles and lays a solid foundation for leveraging advanced analytics, AI, and automation,” adds Failer.

Overall, the solution’s benefits include:

 • Exceptional data transfer speed up to 30TB/day
 • Zero business disruption and no downtime
 • No need for costly or lengthy pre-projects
 • More than 3,000 successful projects worldwide and a robust global partner network
 • Over 3,000 supported business objects

The Fast Track to Freedom

The transformative power of DMI’s approach is evident in the success stories of companies that have embraced JiVS. Failer shares the compelling example of a leading automotive company that successfully retired its SAP ECC system in only four months.

JiVS provides a strategic and intelligent approach to managing legacy data.

He notes that faced with the looming 2030 deadline and the burden of a complex legacy landscape, the company partnered with DMI to implement JiVS. “By separating and archiving their vast historical data, we could significantly reduce the scope and complexity of their SAP S/4HANA migration, allowing them to transition to the modern platform at an unprecedented speed, freeing them from the constraints of their legacy system, reducing IT costs, and gaining the agility needed to thrive in a rapidly evolving industry,” Failer says.

The Time for Action is Now

SAP’s vision for a Clean Core and Composable Enterprise offers a path to agility and innovation, but it demands a commitment to clean, high-quality data, which can be provided by DMI’s JiVS solution, which addresses the challenges of legacy data, streamlines SAP S/4HANA adoption, and unlocks significant cost savings. “The ticking clock is a clear call to action: businesses still on SAP ECC must act now to secure their future and embrace the transformative power of SAP S/4HANA,” Failer concludes.

What This Means for ERP Insiders

Historization prevents vendor lock-in and supports business agility. Recognize the strategic advantage of historization – separating and archiving historical data in a vendor-neutral format. By utilizing solutions like JiVS IMP, users gain independence from the core operational system for accessing and managing historical records. This prevents vendor lock-in, as your valuable historical data remains accessible even if you choose to migrate to a different ERP system in the future. Furthermore, having a readily accessible, well-governed historical data archive enhances business agility by providing a comprehensive and compliant data foundation for analytics, reporting, and responding to evolving business needs without impacting the performance or complexity of your active ERP system.

Accelerate SAP S/4HANA migration while ensuring compliance. To expedite your move to SAP S/4HANA and maintain robust compliance, prioritize the separation and secure archiving of historical data. Retaining historical data in an audit-proof environment separate from your active SAP S/4HANA system allows you to meet regulatory requirements without bogging down your new environment with legacy baggage.

Clean Core is impossible without clean data. Avoid the temptation of a “lift and shift” approach. Instead, invest in data cleansing and harmonization before migration. By ensuring that only clean, standardized data populates your SAP S/4HANA system, you can minimize customizations, streamline processes, and fully leverage the benefits of the Clean Core architecture, including easier upgrades and faster adoption of new innovations.

]]>
The promise of migrating to SAP S/4HANA is tantalizing, with streamlined processes, real-time insights, and a foundation for future innovation. However, beneath the myriad benefits of digital transformation lies a potential pitfall that can create costly headaches: unclean and too much data.

There is No Clean Core Without Clean Data

SAP’s vision for a Clean Core and Composable Enterprise promises agility, lower total cost of operation (TCO), faster upgrades, and innovation-readiness. But here’s the reality: There’s no Clean Core without clean data.

A Clean Core requires SAP S/4HANA to run on a lean, standardized digital foundation—free of unnecessary customizations and bloated legacy structures. However, companies often migrate massive volumes of outdated, redundant, or poor-quality data during their digital transformation, sabotaging the very foundation they’re trying to build.

On the other hand, Composable Enterprise relies on modular, interoperable components like standardized business objects and APIs to create adaptable business processes. However, fragmented or inconsistent data undermines this vision from the start. Organizations can’t build flexible, future-ready systems if their information blocks don’t fit.

Clean Data with JiVS IMP

This is where Data Migration International (DMI) and its platform JiVS IMP help. With over 3,000 pre-configured SAP and non-SAP business objects, JiVS supports true data modularity. It aligns perfectly with SAP’s Clean Core and Composable Enterprise strategies by ensuring only relevant and high-quality data enters S/4HANA—while the rest is securely archived, easily accessible, and fully compliant.

Moreover, JiVS IMP’s capabilities help organizations create a simplified, cloud-ready architecture that empowers companies to innovate faster, reduce costs, stay compliant, and tap into the full value of analytics and AI.

JiVS IMP’s comprehensive suite of data quality, master data management, and data governance capabilities enables businesses to:

Organizations leveraging JiVS can proactively address data challenges, ensuring a smooth and successful S/4HANA migration. This translates to a cleaner core, reduced implementation costs, and faster time-to-value. Furthermore, the platform helps organizations to:

 • Separate operational from historical data
 • Reduce data volume by up to 90%
 • Clean, enrich, and standardize what gets migrated
 • Maintain 100% audit-proof access to legacy data
 • Shut down legacy systems safely and compliantly

Finally, you can’t have a Clean Core without clean data, as clean, structured, and intelligent data is the cornerstone of SAP’s future-ready enterprise vision.

What This Means for ERP Insiders

Legacy systems and customizations lead to high technical debt. Many companies view migrating to SAP S/4HANA as an expensive proposition due to their existing complex and costly IT landscape. Additionally, factors like data overload and efficiency due to excess or legacy data, slow innovation, and a lack of agility as companies struggle to balance operational continuity with innovation and regulatory compliance challenges further hamper the migration process. Moreover, customizations and complex data landscapes increase long-term costs and reduce ROI.

Achieving a clean core is impossible when burdened with legacy data. The clean core principle, a cornerstone of S/4HANA implementation, emphasizes minimizing customizations and leveraging standard functionalities. This approach fosters agility, reduces maintenance costs, and ensures seamless integration with future updates. However, the “data baggage” from unclean data compromises the integrity of the new system and leads to operational inefficiencies and inflated project costs.

Information management platforms like JiVS are crucial to ensure clean data. The transition to S/4HANA often exposes the hidden complexities of existing data landscapes. Organizations grapple with fragmented data silos, inconsistent master data, and a lack of standardized data governance. Without addressing these issues upfront, the migration process becomes a Herculean task, prone to delays, errors, and budget overruns.

The post SAP Clean Core and JiVS One Click Transformation: The perfect match for SAP S/4HANA migration appeared first on ERP Today.

]]>
Realistically, no one can afford disruptions and delays in operations in the competitive arena of today’s globalized world. However, with the growing complexity of technology landscapes among organizations, many face challenges that may affect and disrupt efficiency and compliance.

The most common pain points faced by businesses today include complex and costly legacy systems, struggling to migrate to SAP S/4HANA, data overload and inefficiency, lack in data quality, slow innovation and lack of agility, regulatory and compliance challenges and high total cost of ownership (TCO). Ensuring clean data – data that is accurate, complete and compliant – is critical to addressing these challenges and driving business success.

To tackle most of these challenges, SAP developed the concept of Clean Core, an approach to achieve a modern, flexible and cloud-compliant SAP S/4HANA Cloud. According to SAP, Clean Core is achieved by integrating and extending SAP S/4HANA Cloud in such a way that it is cloud-compliant, “with optimal master data quality and perfected business process governance.” Central to this is the emphasis on clean data as a cornerstone for effective migration and system efficiency.

However, is SAP Clean Core enough to address these issues on its own? Thomas Failer, the CEO of Data Migration International, the inventor of the One Click Transformation approach based on the JiVS Information Management Platform for data migration and application retirement, shared that, while SAP Clean Core is a solid method for integrating SAP S/4HANA Cloud that allows you to minimize customizations, developments and move only relevant data, its process can be elevated even further.

According to Failer, it is possible by enhancing SAP Clean Core with a solution specifically designed for data migration. As an example, Failer explained that, while SAP Clean Core allows users to achieve easier upgrades and lean and scalable system architecture, DMI’s One Click Transformation can support the whole process by archiving historical data and managing it outside the core system, giving users the ability to retire legacy systems without losing access to critical historical data. Furthermore, the One Click Transformation enables the business to clean up and transform the relevant master data in a simple way.

Additionally, with SAP Clean Core ensuring that only relevant and high-quality data is migrated to S/4HANA, DMI’s One Click Transformation can separate operational data migrated to S/4 from historical data archived in JiVS, thus reducing data volume in new target systems by 90-95 percent and enabling more efficient migration. Furthermore, according to Failer, it can automate large portions of migration and reduce its costs and timeframe by 50 percent, therefore eliminating downtime challenges and providing a more focused and clean dataset for operational systems.

All these functions can also help improve business agility, according to DMI’s executive. Specifically, Failer said, “Our One Click Transformation approach complements SAP Clean Core by freeing up resources to focus on new projects and innovations and enabling businesses to adapt quickly to market changes, and bringing the data into optimal shape without the burden of legacy systems or poor-quality data.”

Enhanced data quality and focus on relevant, essential data lead to greater process excellence and significantly reduce the effort required for troubleshooting caused by inaccurate or inconsistent data.

Higher business agility also means a higher ability to ensure compliance and governance – and JiVS can help reinforce it by storing historical data securely while ensuring accessibility for audits and supporting data privacy regulations with tools for data retention and controlled access.

Finally, the joint effort between SAP Clean Core and One Click Transformation powered by JiVS IMP can help organizations reduce TCO and drive sustainability: as Failer shared, on top of SAP Clean Core’s elimination of unnecessary customizations, JiVS can “minimize data-related expenses for storage, processing and migration and simplify the decommissioning of legacy systems, supporting efficient system upgrades with a clean S/4HANA core.”

He added: “On top of that, with SAP Clean Core contributing to sustainability goals by reducing IT system complexity and optimizing resource usage, JiVS enhances sustainability by archiving legacy data to significantly reduce storage and energy consumption and supporting efficient data lifecycle management to minimize the IT carbon footprint.”

So, as can be concluded from the insight from DMI’s CEO, migration to SAP S/4HANA does not just have to be a necessity and complex process: with the help of the SAP Clean Core approach and solutions like JiVS, it can also be an opportunity to enhance your tech stack with processes that increase your agility, compliance, sustainability, and above all, data quality.

When undergoing the tricky migration process to SAP S/4HANA Cloud customers may encounter issues ranging from establishing a good migration strategy to technical and operational risks to data migration challenges.

To dissect a few of these challenges, ERP Today spoke to experts from Data Migration International (DMI), the provider of data migration components. Focusing on why properly handling data migration is crucial, ERP Today hears how separating historical and operational data can help organizations in their digital transformation.

Key issues in data migration

According to DMI, developing a cohesive data migration plan is essential to reaping the benefits of SAP S/4HANA. Organizations often start their digital transformation with disparate systems and decades of duplicate and incomplete legacy data, which can complicate the transfer of data to the cloud and historical information management, delaying the project and raising costs.

Instead, DMI suggests businesses assess the data and establish a detailed plan that includes what data to move, where it’s going and how to get it there and also consider potential downtime, technical issues and compatibility issues.

It can be an enormous task, especially in cases where decades of data are stored on legacy systems, which is why many organizations seek help from data migration solutions providers.

This was the story of two DMI’s customers – Bühler AG, a major plant equipment manufacturer, and Hawle Armaturen AG, a leading Swiss production and trading company in the water, gas and wastewater sectors.

Two businesses, one problem

Bühler was in the process of converting SAP ECC and the systems of its most recently acquired business to SAP S/4HANA to achieve real-time visibility of all its operations in a single environment and to be more agile, flexible and responsive to change. To fully exploit the potential of SAP S/4HANA, Bühler needed a simple and fast approach to selective data migration and an efficient solution for managing its historical information.

So, together with its SAP S/4 implementation partner, Bühler found the solution with DMI’s data migration experts and its information management platform JiVS. JiVS IMP is an end-to-end information management platform that is designed to not just move its customers’ data from one place to another, but also provide data cleansing using automation at the same time.

After deploying JiVS as a tailored solution, Bühler separated its historical data from its operational data, stored the historical information in a centralized environment and switched off its legacy systems.

According to the customer, since the implementation of JiVS, the company reduced operating costs by 80 percent, transferred information from a spin-off business unit to a newly formed company within six months and minimized the total cost of ownership of SAP S/4HANA with the ability to access data directly from SAP S/4.

Similarly, Hawle found itself at the point where it had to overcome legacy data challenges when migrating SAP S/4HANA. Embarking on the digital transformation journey, the organization only wanted to migrate the required data to the cloud. Initially, the company tried to move its data using scripts, which proved to be a long process that wouldn’t have met the project timelines. Finding a way to do this process quickly was essential because users needed access to the data to fulfill business requirements and comply with legal regulations.

After considering its options and discovering DMI, Hawle decided to develop the vendor’s One Click approach, powered by its JiVS IMP platform. One Click is DMI’s patented approach designed to help customers analyze and evaluate the quality of the historical and operational data from all the company’s source systems using automation, and transfer the clean data to the JiVS platform, So, rather than migrating all legacy data, organizations can reduce their operational data and require fewer storage resources.

This way, Hawle met its short timeline of three months and migrated its data to SAP S/4HANA. Today, the company ensures better data quality through data validation and loading via the SAP Migration Cockpit. With the help of JiVS IMP, it historicizes its old legacy systems and maintains access to all historical data available.

Embarking on the digital transformation journey sees many crucial aspects, such as budget, time constraints and compliance at stake, and it is vital to ensure your organization stands in the best position in the global competitive landscape. By considering the best approach to managing your data, you’re more likely to smoothly transition to the cloud.

So, if you find yourself in the maze of complex legacy data, you may want to consult the ‘magicians of migration’ that can help guide the road in that complex journey.

Utilizing thousands of resources, the oil and gas industry faces ongoing challenges, such as regulatory and ESG compliance, supply chain risks and market volatility. This is why many organizations are on the lookout for solutions that could help them streamline operations, reduce risk of disruptions and boost innovation.

Yet, it is necessary to think about data for those considering embarking on the digital transformation journey. A well-performed data migration process is vital because it can ensure that organizations optimize the quality of their data through cleansing, enable themselves to adopt technology faster without the risk of losing data, as well as provide cost efficiency and improved security.

Hearing from Data Migration International (DMI), the provider of data migration and application retirement, ERP Today explored three customer stories where users, despite their differing contexts and backgrounds, all looked for one solution – holistic data management of historical and legacy data.

Moving forward with secured and archived data

Energy Transfer, a US Fortune 500 natural gas and propane pipeline transport company, juggled the tech stack of multiple legacy systems such as Mainframe, Oracle, JDE and others, experiencing challenges with maintenance costs, limited flexibility and legacy data of up to 50 years old being stored on old hardware and tape devices. With the introduction of a central SAP S/4HANA system, it needed to migrate only relevant data, wishing to historize obsolete data and keep it auditable. In its search for a solution that could help reduce costs and migrate and organize data, Energy Transfer found DMI and its JiVS Information Management Platform (JiVS IMP).

An information management platform, JiVS IMP has functionality that aims to address challenges experienced in the oil and gas industry by enabling efficient data separation and lifecycle management. It decouples non-active data, such as legacy well logs, seismic data and historical production reports, from operational systems, ensuring smooth performance while retaining easy access to critical records.

This way, Energy Transfer was able to eliminate old legacy systems including mainframe infrastructure, tape devices and ADK data, as well as implement a governance framework to manage historical data effectively, thereby reducing costs. Users can now also access archived data via smart document archiving with a data security protocol set across various business processes.

In the management of data, don’t forget compliance

Similarly to Energy Transfer, GasLINE, one of the biggest fiber-optic cable (FOC) network providers in Germany, required an SAP archiving solution after a change of service provider for commercial management. With the critical need to be able to access historical data, the change in commercial management made data migration a complex and challenging process. Additionally, it was vital for GasLINE to find a solution that could help ensure compliance with German “GoBS” legislation, which stipulates how data should be treated in documents-against-payment (DP) accounting systems.

After considering the options available together with its development partner OGE, GasLINE found JiVS IMP to be the one solution that ticked its primary boxes. Now, having undergone the implementation process where historical data was cleansed and refined and then moved to the unified archive database, GasLINE and its users can access the data from a single platform without the need to look for it across multiple systems and areas. With all data stored in a single database, the company is also able to comply with the GoBS legislation.

Mind the gap in your core systems

An American Petroleum refining, marketing and transportation company headquartered in Findlay, Ohio, after migrating to SAP S/4HANA, realized that there were gaps left in its core systems, with users having to access 40-year-old data in multiple systems while also experiencing high operational costs for historical data.

After collaborating with DMI and deciding to store all its legacy data in JiVS IMP, the oil giant is now able to have on-demand access to archived data, whether it’s geological survey data, historical production figures or compliance documentation, thus streamlining operational efficiency in a highly regulated industry. Additionally, the organization can now adjust resources based on data needs, whether managing large exploration datasets or integrating new acquisitions.

Thinking about data and its management is crucial, whatever digital stage your organization is at, especially in the oil and gas industry. Whether moving to cloud, changing service providers or considering what to do with your legacy tech stack, it is important to ensure that your data is refined and easily accessible to fulfill business needs and secure continuous growth. Achieving this alone may be a tedious task, so looking for solutions like JiVS IMP may be the right path for your organization in this quest toward scalability, governance and usability.
